Schedule for Indian Wedding Photography sessions

How to schedule Indian Wedding Photography sessions | Planning for your wedding photography

It is difficult to put exact schedule for India wedding photography because of the diverse cultures in India.  Every wedding is unique in its traditions and ceremonies. Indian wedding are great fun but at the same time wedding day is very hectic. If these sessions are not planned, we may end up having very little or no time for these individual sessions.

Decor in Indian Wedding photography

Décor is an essential part of Indian Weddings and a true reflection of your personalities. Best time to capture décor imagery is when the venue is not too crowded. Ivory Pixel team will arrive at the venue early to capture stunning imagery of the décor and venue from start to finish.

Duration: 30 mins.  Location: Outdoor, Mantap, Indoors

Getting Ready/Make up

We love to capture both the bride and the groom, when they are getting ready. Indian bridal make up takes anywhere between one hour to 3 hours but last one hour is enough for us to create some stunning images. While the bride is getting ready, we will also capture details like Ring, Dress and Jewelry shots with our specialized lighting and compositional techniques.
Our second shooter will be with the groom capturing details and candid moments with the family members and friends.

Duration: 1 hour  Location: Parlour, Hotel room

Indian Wedding ceremony

We love shooting candid portraits as soon as you are ready. Don’t worry, we will not ask you to pose, but interact with you to capture your personality. With little bit of direction, we can create amazing portraits.

Couple portraits

During wedding ceremony most of the candid photographs are captured but without the couple photography session it will not be complete.  We prefer to have couple portrait session before the beginning of the ceremony or in the middle of ceremony where there is some free time.
We generally don’t advice couple portraits after the ceremony as both bride groom will be tired and make-up and dress will loose its sheen. We take between 15-30 minutes to take couple photos However with our experience if this is given as last priority and lot of times its not done at all.  But eventually they regret post wedding of missing this important part of photography.

Group shots and Family photographs

Indian weddings are big family get-togethers and it is very important to capture these moments.
Group photography sessions requires additional lighting and Ivory Pixel team will do the setup beforehand to give you flattering images from group shots.

Duration: 1-2 hours Location: Stage, Hotel Lobby

Vidai / Bride’s farewell

This is the concluding ceremony in Indian Weddings where bride’s family bids farewell to their daughter.  This is the most emotional moment of Indian weddings. No timelines for this but it does last for an hour or more.
We try to capture each and every moment and each picture will tell the story of emotional bonding between bride and her family.  Although Vidai images capture very heavy emotions, these images will emerge and will last forever.
